Happy 1st year anniversary!

Wednesday, November 21, 2012

On the 14th of November this year, marks the 1st year that Dear and I have been together!
I've been so excited because it's of course, another day whereby we can dress up, go on a date, and celebrate this special day :)

It feels even more special than Valentine's Day! (duh..)

But this year, I'd be working on the 14th so decided to celebrate it on the 13th itself. It was also Deepavali! Which was public holiday so I need not go to work :-)

Yep, wanted to go Gardens by the Bay for the longest time ever but we didn't have the chance to since both of us were busy and only free at night.

So that day was a good day to explore that new attraction that was opened earlier this year!

On our way...
Dark, gloomy  clouds :(

Was a little afraid that it'd start pouring because that would mean we couldn't go anymore!

Brought my furry furry jacket just in case ;P

Dear & I! Feel the couple-y atmosphere cos we're wearing white!

"Been waiting my entire life for someone like you~~"

:)

Finally we reached!

Excited! Could feel butterflies in my stomach already.. And looked quite sunny aye?

However, it started drizzling the moment we stepped out of the car so we had to go for Plan 2.
Sigh!

TWG at MBS was my 2nd choice and Dear accommodated me 'cos he knows I've been telling him about TWG for the past month and how much I wanted to go there... So he brought me there! :') How sweet of him.

Ordered Ace Of Heart Tea & some chocolate brownie cake along with tea ice cream for dessert.

Am so loving the chocolate brownie cake & the tea-infused ice-cream!

Well, we also ordered 2 macaroons at the side but the rose macaroon kinda sucked..

My baby boy!

 & Myself hehe

As a tea lover myself, I love all kinds of tea.. Dear is not much of a tea lover but he found that the Ace of Hearts was good! So guys... next time if you're dropping by TWG at MBS, check out their Ace of Hearts tea, and the desserts please!

The brownie cake is so good I could just literally die on the spot.

Brought my polaroid out for this special occasion but we didn't take much because the floor was wet from the rain and there were so many people around!

Love this shot of my bf~ So nice!

 & I LOVE THIS!

And this photographer offered to help us take a photo so yeah... hehehe

Went up to MBS & saw that there's a bridge connecting to Garden by the Bay!
So we just strolled around the bridge, waiting for time pass since our reservation for dinner was at 8pm at Ikoi Restaurant, Mirar Hotel. (Japanese Buffet)

For dear's birthday/our 1st year anniversary, I'm thinking of booking MBS to celebrate heheh oh SHHHH

 Love the view!

 So near yet so far...

Love this shot! Looks like it was taken in the afternoon right? But nope.. It was taken in the evening, when the sun was just setting. Heheh

In the end, we didn't walk over to Garden by the Bay since we were a little tired from walking....
Just decided to rest at MBS awhile before heading over to Ikoi Restaurant for our sumptuous Japanese Buffet!

I didn't take any photos, unfortunately :(
However, the food there (other than sashimis - Sorry, I'm not a fan of raw food or anything in shells except for prawns hahaha) was really good! I miss the fried Udon, Tempura, Fried mushroom though..... So damn nice!  It's really worth the money and the price isn't that steep.

About $30+ for Japanese buffet for anything from the menu and if you love sashimi (raw salmon), it's worth the money! FREE FLOW and FRESH.

However that place was a little small and reservations have to be made especially for weekends. When we went that day, it was full house. (Thankfully I made my reservation 1 week before. HAHAHA)

Yeap...
I am sure that we'll last..... AND if money & time permit, we'd probably tie the knot in a few years time HAHAHA.

Well, let nature take its course!
Happy 1st year anniversary, baby. Cheers to many our years to come ;)

Holygrail Lippies!

Sunday, November 18, 2012

Whenever it comes to buying cosmetic products such as lipsticks, foundations, etc, I will never fail to turn to Makeupalley for their ratings and reviews. So far, it is still rather the most reliable source (for me, at least) compared to most reviews sites.

Before buying something, I usually weigh out the pros and cons & THINK for a super long time before purchasing it. So that I can lessen my impulsive shopping habit :( But so far, Makeupalley has really saved so much money for me!

SO I AM EXCITED TO INTRODUCE SOME OF THE (HIGHLY RATED) PRODUCTS FROM MAKEUPALLEY :)

1) NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm

This is one of the new product that I've recently added to my lippies collection.

Alright babes, this is actually one of the highest ratings lip colour range in Makeupalley for NYX Lip Cream. It gives a lip gloss feel but it's not! It's like lipstick but in a creamy form. And I LOVE IT. The colour is so gorgeous and natural that I couldn't help staring at the mirror every single minute AHHAHA.

For my dry lips, it doesn't highlight the fine lines on my lips and it doesn't dry out my lips either.
I would definitely crown it as my holy grail lippie if the staying power wasn't that weak :(

It can last prolly an hour or so? Oh well.

2) NYX Matte Lipstick in Strawberry Daiquiri

It's a really pretty shade of pinkish - red and I guess everyone can actually pull it off with this shade!
It does brighten up your face and IF you're having a bad hair day bad eyes day bad nose day or whatever, it will divert their attention away and let them focus on your lips! Hahaha

Tip: I always apply concealer on my lips first to eliminate any fine lines, and then apply lip balm to smoothen it out and lastly, apply the lipstick :)

3) My Holy Grail Product - Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait 025

Yes, I love this!!!!!

The staying power is really strong compared to most of the lippies products and not only that, I LOVE THE SPARKLY SHINE THEY WILL LEAVE ON YOUR LIPS! It's so pretty and do you know that in several makeup websites they actually won the best lip product?

There are a few shades but I chose the rather natural one, so after applying it, it actually gives you a sweet look and enhances your lips (especially if you've already got great lips) and I COULD GO ON FOREVER.......

Definitely my Holygrail lippy product!

Anyway, I'm just gonna post up some photos of where we've been for the past few weeks hehe.

Night out @ Orchard

Sometimes I wonder if he really truly means whatever he says...

Anyway, we went to Cuppage Plaza for dinner that day and went to walk along Orchard and I went to Ion to see Kikki.K's new 2013 weekly planner!!!!!

It's rather costly so I just kinda gave up the idea & thought I could get it when I'm a little richer but Dear just bought it for me :')

Here it is!!!!! SO FREAKING PRETTY. Thank goodness the calendar entries allow me to start writing in mid-December if not I'd have died of impatience alr! Hehe~

And another day out at Vivo City........... WHEN I SAW THE GELARE PROMOTION ON FACEBOOK.
HAHAHAHAH.

And yes we LOVE sweet treats!

I love Gelare Waffles!!!!!!! So fluffy & crispy at the same time!

Yum yum!

"Ready to attack!" Dear said he really love the waffles! Hahaha

Love waffles :)

But I thought that Udders ice -cream was better... I really love Udders! It's becoming my favourite Ice-cream hang out place and the ice-cream there is out of the world. Hehe. Okay not out of the world but it's really nice. Thank goodness Tampines opened an express outlet! (WITH PANCAKES SOMEMORE)

There was another day Dear ended work early at 6pm, so we met up at Nex :)

& Yes, rare occasions when I camwhore at home 'cos normally I'd be rushing for time..
See my lipstick shade? Yes, it's NYX Matte Lipstick in Strawberry Daiquiri!

Anyway, went to Ajisen Gourmet Town since his friend who's the head chef is working there and we went there to try it out :)

Yes.. I am in love with pork broth soup... Love how it goes with the ramen! SO yes, Tonkotsu soup? (& just yesterday Dear & I were at Ramen Champion Bugis Plus and I ate Tonkotsu Ramen again haha)

He ordered quite a handful so gotta wait as the chef prepares...

And Tadaa! And I love the Tako thinggy on the left side. It's nice!

Pardon my dry hair, my big eye bags, and my fat nose.

My cute boyfriend as always

Well, really had quite a good dinner there & by the time we finished, we were so FULL!
Couldn't even walk, hahaha.

:)

Yesterday after dinner at Ramen Champion, we went to Filme Garde & caught the movie "Army Boys to Men"

& I thought the graphics was really good! It looked so real like Singapore was under attack and Merlion was bombed. & The flyer collapsed! Woah.. I wouldn't want to see that happening but it kinda made me wonder what will happen if Singapore will under such circumstances.. Given my character I'd probably die first. Hahaha.

Anyway  I was a little upset yesterday.....
I won't blog about it, because I guess it's just me being too sensitive.

I've never been like this with any of my past dates/bf because I am not the "worried if he's cheating blah blah" kind. I have no idea why I'm so sensitive, so emotional in this relationship I'm in..

It's not a bad thing, it prolly goes to show how much this relationship matter to me and how much I care for him.. but I don't want to be so tight about everything because I'm afraid I will get too controlling & he's gonna start hating me for it.

Or maybe it's because of some of my previous relationships all those shit jerks put me through which is prolly why I'm so uptight about everything.. Hmph!

Anyway, I'm gonna change for the better and JUST KEEP CALM &  EXERCISE.

Blogilates, here I come!
(Am gonna do pilates bootcamp later ;)

MUST.HAVE. DISCIPLINE.
Which means even if I don't feel like doing it, I STILL HAVE TO GO & DO IT.

BYE!

Advertorial: For all SHOPAHOLICS!

Monday, November 12, 2012

As a hardcore shopaholic myself, I LOVE shopping so much that I can even go without eating dinner just to save the money for some top I saw in Forever 21.

Yes, my boyfriend knows that too. Hahaha.

And guess what?!

From 9 November to 31 December onwards, Genting is having this late night shopping event at First World Plaza and all shops will be opened from 10am to 1am!!!!

I've been wanting to plan a trip there to Genting with my boyfriend since forever because it IS my favourite place of all times since I was young.

When I was in secondary school, my aunt will never fail to bring us to Genting for a short getaway, and one of the thing that I love about Genting, other than their food, is their shopping!!!!

Don't think that since Genting is situated on top of some mountain they don't have much shopping. In fact, they have one of the best shopping destination in Malaysia!!!!!!!

It's comfortably cold, since it's on top of the mountain. And where in the world do you get to shop for clothes/gifts on top of the mountain?! Nowhere except for Genting of cos!

My Mum and I used to frequent U2, Voir and Padini because they have QUALITY and AFFORDABLE apparels! And we'd shop for gifts for our relatives during the christmas season, because they'd be selling so many cute x'mas bears!!!

Can't wait to go back to Genting again..
And the best time is NOW, because all shops are opened till 1am!!!!!!

Genting, where entertainment, good food (seriously miss the bak kut teh at level 1 of First world plaza) and shopping are all in one place.................

Happy (close-to) 1 year anniversary baby!

It’s funny how we started off so shaky and unrealistic and now, here we are.... 1 year has gone by so fast and everything seems like a fairytale..

I have to admit that it was never easy to get to where we are today. Like any normal, healthy relationship, there’s always bound to have third parties trying to get between us, trust issues, stress, financial issues, jealousy and many more. How we managed to curb all these problems…… Well, not everything was resolved. Some issues were left on its own, probably because one of us is too ignorant or the other, too afraid.

Then comes the good, memorable part. Our trips, our anniversaries, our dates, funny moments, stayovers, countless of memories. I am pretty sure one thing that we had in common was that we’d always focused on the good memories than the bad ones. It’s how we ignite back the flames, and bonds us back.
Till now, I still have a little difficulty trying to figure out what’s on his mind.. He’s unpredictable. But very very adventurous. (Okay not really THAT adventurous cos he’s a little lazy at times) And his friends always refer to him as “the cocky one.” The first time I met him, I would have to agree with them. And as time goes by….. he actually has a soft spot! Especially when it comes to animals. It was certainly one thing that made me so attracted to him.

And now some characteristics of this guy I’ve been dating for (almost) a year.
  1. He’s forgetful. Always forgetting about WHERE, WHEN, HOW we got together. He’d guess everything except for the correct one.
  2. He’s got buttery fingers. Almost everything he touches…… Like water spilling over the laptop, etc.
  3. He’s insensitive. Of all the times I tried to make him jealous, it failed terribly and I was the one getting emotional instead. L
  4. He’s OBSSESSED with his phone. And car. His facebook cover photo is himself and his car. And half of his time is spent on his stupid Zynga whatever games.

But despite everything, I love him for who he is. And all these characteristics? Yes, I love them, because that’s what that makes him HIM.

Of all the times I get emotional and upset, he’d never fail to cheer me up and show his affections for me. He’d never fail to come all the way from work/home just to accompany me. Like the time when I lost my laptop and he knew I was so upset, he drove to my house from work and brought me out for supper. :’)

And when he sense that something is wrong, he’d pull me in close and peck me gently on the lips. When I am in any kind of trouble, he’d always try his best and be there for me… And when I pout like a spoiled brat, he’d laugh it off and imitate me. And when I get demanding, he’d accommodate me and make sure I was smiling at the end of the day.

I love you, Dear.

Halloween Zombie Outbreak @ Scape 2012!

Sunday, November 04, 2012

As a staff of SPH, I was given the privilege to attend the Halloween Horror Nights @ Scape 2012 for free! Courtesy of Movie Mania.

I brought along Dear and his friends, Angel & Mick.

The event was from 18th - 31th Oct so we went on a Sunday, on the 28th as Dear finished work at 6pm that day.
Met up with him and Angel at Scape and we went to have our dinner first while waiting for Mick to come...

As we walked around after dinner, we spotted this Coca Cola truck outside Cine and people were queuing up for something free? They were also all on their phones, and we  were quite puzzled so we went to  see the board.

OH. Like Cathay Lifestyle and get a free Halloween goodie bag!
Haha, of course we went to join in the fun and we were all trying to access Facebook and trying to like the page.

The queue was a little long so we took some photos hehehe.

I went first, so I was supposed to shout "I'm a bad girl" before pressing the button but heck! I'm just gonna press it cos I ain't no bad girl HAHA.

I GOT A HALLOWEEN HEADBAND.
Angel went next, and she got a free arcade card with some credits in it, while Dear got a $10 voucher from some apparel shop in Cine.

Dear & his voucher and my headband. HAHAH

Angel & her Timezone arcade card!

Myself & the halloween headband.

When Mick came over, Angel brought him to try out the game once while this Pirate was around, playing this card guessing game with passerbys. He came up to us so we tried but we won a bottle of coke instead =_=

I was abit sian cos I wanted the Hello Kitty mascara!!!!!!!
So I asked him if we could try again? Cos I really wanted to win the mascara, I told him hahaha.

To my surprise, he purposely let me win cos he gave me 1000000 tries before I got the correct number. HAHA.

SO I WON THE HELLO KITTY MASCARA :D

After that, all of us headed to Scape's warehouse for the zombie outbreak!!!!!!!
I never thought I'd be THAT afraid until I accepted the fact that I was ABOUT to enter the place. Ahhhhh

AND IT WAS ACTUALLY SCARY.
So thankful that there was a group of teenagers in front of us so I insisted on following them. The poor girl was scared out of her wits while I was heaving sighs of relief secretly behind. HAHAHA. All the sudden head popping, JU-ON crawling from the hospital bed etc, zombies swinging from the end of the room, the first group had it all. So throughout the whole event the only thing I was scared of was when the girl screamed -_- so freaking high pitch!

Dear was pulling me away from the group cos he wanted us to walk alone so we would be scared but I didn't wanted to be TOO scared... cos I am, (I have to admit) VERY timid. Bahahah

Anyway we completed and survived the whole Zombie event successfully!!!!!!!!!
It was quite a short trail and it took less than 10 minutes?

Took a group photo with the zombie background!!

Oh well, we definitely did have fun hahahaha!!
:)

Anyway the day before Halloween, Xinyi and I went to Ksuite at Bugis Plus for the student promotion!
It was $15nett for Fri-Sun, so we decided to go ahead for it. The room was very well furnished, with blanket, a bowl of tidbits and two drinks and the system was quite good!

I also liked the reception area when we entered Ksuite, it was rather nice with the grass patches and vintage chairs.. hehehe.

Guess Ksuite is a more highend version of Kbox?

Xinyi choosing the songs~

Camwhore as usual... I was having such a bad hair day argh

MEEEEE

The expert singing

As we met a little late, our session finished at 7.15pm and by then we went to Dear's cafe to eat dinner!

Yes, we ordered the Sampler Platter and there were so many food x.x
We just couldn't finish!!!!!

Waited for Dear to knock off and we went home together :)
