Yesterday was our 11th month anniversary, and since I've been telling Dear I really wanted to try out the brunch at Riders Cafe, Bukit Timah after hearing so many good reviews about it, he decided to bring us there for our 11th month anniversary!

Super duper happy so woke up early and dressed up for our brunch date!

Upon reaching there, I realised Riders Cafe is actually more convenient and accessible for those with cars, or if you're opting for cabs. It's rather inconvenient for those who wants to come here via public transport because the cafe is located inside Bukit Timah Saddle Club.

Since we did not make a reservation, we were inside the waiting list, and had to wait approximately 30 minutes(?)
Marmalade Pantry was just opposite, so I asked Dear if he wanted to eat there instead, since there was no queue there. But Dear said it was rather costly. Hahhaa. And since we came down here just to try out Riders Cafe, so we decided to stick with our decision!


After less than 30 minutes, received a call promptly from a lady whom I assume is the owner, and she informed us that a table was available. Dear drove back to Riders Cafe and the nice lady seated us near the balcony, facing the hill and horse stables.

Really liked how staffs are attentive to our needs and food served is rather fast, considering the fact that the cafe was full-house that day!







Well, he said the food here is priced quite reasonably, and the view was quite good too..


We waited for about 15 minutes for the drinks to be served? Especially the Cafe Mocha that Dear ordered.





Finally, the food arrived!





Walked around the nearby stables and the horses were just so...... huge.

After brunch, we went to meet his mum at Bugis, went to Westmall for dinner, and headed back home!

Thought the food is nice.. We ordered out 2 chiffon cupcakes, 2 eggtarts, 2 kaya buns, 2 soft boiled eggs and 2 drinks. And it totaled up to $9.90! I was so damn shocked. Hello? The portions were actually quite miserable and it wasn't even filling.

This was the eggtart. I had to admit that the eggtart was good. I'm not a big fan of eggtarts (in fact, I hate them) but this really made me changed my mind.

The chiffon cupcake we ate was just okay.. It was quite dry and didn't taste that good though.
We ordered the soft boiled eggs and they were actually 3/4 cooked already. So it was more like eating hard boiled eggs?

We also ordered the kaya bun. I saw the review somewhere when somebody commented it's the only shop they knew that has kaya bun, not the usual kaya toast. Like seriously?

I think they have been living under a rock all this while.







Bought my transparent Iphone cover at Cine and it's only $2!!!!!!!! YY bought her iphone sticker (front and back) and it's also only $2! Mad cheap can!

Met Jeslyn at a super late timing so we went to CentrePoint's Macdonalds to chill out and chat about her kinky adventures at Seychelles. Haha! Super funny and entertaining!

After that, all of us went home while Dear came to pick me up :)

Had a satisfying meal since we were so FULL. Dear found the food just okay, but I thought it was quite good.. Maybe it's because I've been eating there for so long, hahhaa.

Anyway, we took neoprints that day -_- Felt so ah lian wtf but don't question me why the idea kinda popped up in my head.. Maybe it's because I never took neoprints with my bf before? Hahah


On Thursday, some of us 2m05 girlies decided to meet up for a quick lunch @ Lena's at Tampines 1 to catch up with one another! Miss them so much :'(

Miss the old days when I get to see them.. and we'd laugh in class, hahaha.
The set lunch is quite cheap hehehe.


After lunch, it was about time I had to work and Lydia had to go driving so we all took a photo! Hehe ^^


Yesterday was the last day of semester 1 and WAS SUPER HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally Semester 3.1 is over and it's time to anticipate my Ipoh Trip with baby and mummy!

Went to find baby awhile ^_^ He was quite busy so he left shortly after we met up :( But thankfully that night I went to meet up with him again!


Waited for Xinyi for 2hours!!!!!! Hahhaha and finally she finished school and we went to shop for some school clothes for her, and I got myself a pair of flats which I am so in love with :)

After that went back to Dhoby Ghaut and find baby and he haven't ate dinner so we went to Kong Kee to eat our long awaited KL Hokkien mee.. just wondering if it's the same we ate at KL?

Can't wait to dig in...... we were craving for this like forever!

The Verdict: Our rating was about 6/10.
Not bragging but my maternal relatives are all chefs, yes even all my aunts know how to whip up decent meals, and the Dai Lok Mee (another name for KL Hokkien Mee) they cooked are seriously the best. Rich in flavour with a bit of prawn taste. However at Kong Kee, I felt that the noodle was seriously quite sticky? The taste was a little bland and just eating a few more bites it got a bit "gao wei." My dear, despite him being so hungry didn't even finish the plate of noodle :/

So what is the reviews all about? Singaporeans.. They seriously don't know what the real deal is. I doubt I will be coming back for their KL Hokkien Mee the next time, but I do wanna try their huge grouper.. Looks super tempting!




Today, dear had work at 4pm, and I had nothing on so we went for brunch at Changi Village at Chockfull of Beans.. Initially we wanted to go 126 @ East Coast Park (his previous workplace) but we ended up going CV since it's nearer to my home. I was a little reluctant to go CV cos they don't have parks to walk after a meal and beaches and pretty trees :(

But maybe it's a blessing in disguise cos the food at Chockfull of Beans at CV is seriously good!

Chockfull of Beans is this cafe at Changi Village, beside Chocolate Origins and they have really pretty latte art! They can do angry birds, puppy faces and many more. Heheh. They have NO GST nor Service charge!

Dear saw his ex colleague working as a barista there too.. And he was originally from One Caramel so I assume the desserts should be good? :P hahah.

It is comforting to know that people still reads my blog.
The almost dead comment box at the side (spammed with advertisements calling me to check out their websites) is quite disheartening hahaha. Makes me feel as if no one reads my blog, except for robots and people who accidentally stumbles onto my blog while searching for the first XI scandal shit. (Yea, if I did mention that my views went up to 140 daily after blogging about First XI)

Life's been going pretty smoothly.. I liked it the way it is now, no more nonsense, emotional shit and all that ra-ra-drama.

He's been coming to my house to stay over at times and it's nice to wake up and see your loved one beside..

Anyway last Friday, Meryl and Queen and I wanted to meetup to help her jailbreak her phone, but we ended up meeting up too late so we just decided to go back to Ken's Pub to drink and chilled :)

Before that, we had our dinner at this Japanese area at Nex (Forgot the name of the restaurant) and since it was pretty late, there weren't anyone in the restaurant.

Ordered Ramen!

Anyway after that we went to Ken's Pub, ate some peanuts (there's something about me and peanuts haha) and they had a drink. Wanted to sing but there're too many people so by the time my monkey came to fetch me, I had to leave w/o singing :(


Hehe, oh well.. Monday I didn't have school so dear and I decided to meet up after his work, which ended at 6pm! After Gina recommended me to go to RamenPlay to try out their double soup base, I told him about it and so we decided to go for it! Was expecting it to be costly but surprisingly it wasn't! It was affordable, and much cheaper than T3's Ramen Champion :)

There're both pros and cons about the ramen they served in Ramen Play, compared to other ramen shops.











Awesome Monday date! It really made the Monday blues go away :-)


For now, I will go and do some project work and continue my "Revenge" tv episode later! Hehe~
