Happy (close-to) 1 year anniversary baby!

It’s funny how we started off so shaky and unrealistic and now, here we are.... 1 year has gone by so fast and everything seems like a fairytale..

I have to admit that it was never easy to get to where we are today. Like any normal, healthy relationship, there’s always bound to have third parties trying to get between us, trust issues, stress, financial issues, jealousy and many more. How we managed to curb all these problems…… Well, not everything was resolved. Some issues were left on its own, probably because one of us is too ignorant or the other, too afraid.

Then comes the good, memorable part. Our trips, our anniversaries, our dates, funny moments, stayovers, countless of memories. I am pretty sure one thing that we had in common was that we’d always focused on the good memories than the bad ones. It’s how we ignite back the flames, and bonds us back.
Till now, I still have a little difficulty trying to figure out what’s on his mind.. He’s unpredictable. But very very adventurous. (Okay not really THAT adventurous cos he’s a little lazy at times) And his friends always refer to him as “the cocky one.” The first time I met him, I would have to agree with them. And as time goes by….. he actually has a soft spot! Especially when it comes to animals. It was certainly one thing that made me so attracted to him.

And now some characteristics of this guy I’ve been dating for (almost) a year.
  1. He’s forgetful. Always forgetting about WHERE, WHEN, HOW we got together. He’d guess everything except for the correct one.
  2. He’s got buttery fingers. Almost everything he touches…… Like water spilling over the laptop, etc.
  3. He’s insensitive. Of all the times I tried to make him jealous, it failed terribly and I was the one getting emotional instead. L
  4. He’s OBSSESSED with his phone. And car. His facebook cover photo is himself and his car. And half of his time is spent on his stupid Zynga whatever games.

But despite everything, I love him for who he is. And all these characteristics? Yes, I love them, because that’s what that makes him HIM.

Of all the times I get emotional and upset, he’d never fail to cheer me up and show his affections for me. He’d never fail to come all the way from work/home just to accompany me. Like the time when I lost my laptop and he knew I was so upset, he drove to my house from work and brought me out for supper. :’)

And when he sense that something is wrong, he’d pull me in close and peck me gently on the lips. When I am in any kind of trouble, he’d always try his best and be there for me… And when I pout like a spoiled brat, he’d laugh it off and imitate me. And when I get demanding, he’d accommodate me and make sure I was smiling at the end of the day.

I love you, Dear.

Halloween Zombie Outbreak @ Scape 2012!

Sunday, November 04, 2012

As a staff of SPH, I was given the privilege to attend the Halloween Horror Nights @ Scape 2012 for free! Courtesy of Movie Mania.

I brought along Dear and his friends, Angel & Mick.

The event was from 18th - 31th Oct so we went on a Sunday, on the 28th as Dear finished work at 6pm that day.
Met up with him and Angel at Scape and we went to have our dinner first while waiting for Mick to come...

As we walked around after dinner, we spotted this Coca Cola truck outside Cine and people were queuing up for something free? They were also all on their phones, and we  were quite puzzled so we went to  see the board.

OH. Like Cathay Lifestyle and get a free Halloween goodie bag!
Haha, of course we went to join in the fun and we were all trying to access Facebook and trying to like the page.

The queue was a little long so we took some photos hehehe.

I went first, so I was supposed to shout "I'm a bad girl" before pressing the button but heck! I'm just gonna press it cos I ain't no bad girl HAHA.

I GOT A HALLOWEEN HEADBAND.
Angel went next, and she got a free arcade card with some credits in it, while Dear got a $10 voucher from some apparel shop in Cine.

Dear & his voucher and my headband. HAHAH

Angel & her Timezone arcade card!

Myself & the halloween headband.

When Mick came over, Angel brought him to try out the game once while this Pirate was around, playing this card guessing game with passerbys. He came up to us so we tried but we won a bottle of coke instead =_=

I was abit sian cos I wanted the Hello Kitty mascara!!!!!!!
So I asked him if we could try again? Cos I really wanted to win the mascara, I told him hahaha.

To my surprise, he purposely let me win cos he gave me 1000000 tries before I got the correct number. HAHA.

SO I WON THE HELLO KITTY MASCARA :D

After that, all of us headed to Scape's warehouse for the zombie outbreak!!!!!!!
I never thought I'd be THAT afraid until I accepted the fact that I was ABOUT to enter the place. Ahhhhh

AND IT WAS ACTUALLY SCARY.
So thankful that there was a group of teenagers in front of us so I insisted on following them. The poor girl was scared out of her wits while I was heaving sighs of relief secretly behind. HAHAHA. All the sudden head popping, JU-ON crawling from the hospital bed etc, zombies swinging from the end of the room, the first group had it all. So throughout the whole event the only thing I was scared of was when the girl screamed -_- so freaking high pitch!

Dear was pulling me away from the group cos he wanted us to walk alone so we would be scared but I didn't wanted to be TOO scared... cos I am, (I have to admit) VERY timid. Bahahah

Anyway we completed and survived the whole Zombie event successfully!!!!!!!!!
It was quite a short trail and it took less than 10 minutes?

Took a group photo with the zombie background!!

Oh well, we definitely did have fun hahahaha!!
:)

Anyway the day before Halloween, Xinyi and I went to Ksuite at Bugis Plus for the student promotion!
It was $15nett for Fri-Sun, so we decided to go ahead for it. The room was very well furnished, with blanket, a bowl of tidbits and two drinks and the system was quite good!

I also liked the reception area when we entered Ksuite, it was rather nice with the grass patches and vintage chairs.. hehehe.

Guess Ksuite is a more highend version of Kbox?

Xinyi choosing the songs~

Camwhore as usual... I was having such a bad hair day argh

MEEEEE

The expert singing

As we met a little late, our session finished at 7.15pm and by then we went to Dear's cafe to eat dinner!

Yes, we ordered the Sampler Platter and there were so many food x.x
We just couldn't finish!!!!!

Waited for Dear to knock off and we went home together :)

11th Month Anniversary Brunch at Riders Cafe

Monday, October 15, 2012

Yesterday was our 11th month anniversary, and since I've been telling Dear I really wanted to try out the brunch at Riders Cafe, Bukit Timah after hearing so many good reviews about it, he decided to bring us there for our 11th month anniversary!

Super duper happy so woke up early and dressed up for our brunch date!

Upon reaching there, I realised Riders Cafe is actually more convenient and accessible for those with cars, or if you're opting for cabs. It's rather inconvenient for those who wants to come here via public transport because the cafe is located inside Bukit Timah Saddle Club.

Since we did not make a reservation, we were inside the waiting list, and had to wait approximately 30 minutes(?)
Marmalade Pantry was just opposite, so I asked Dear if he wanted to eat there instead, since there was no queue there. But Dear said it was rather costly. Hahhaa. And since we came down here just to try out Riders Cafe, so we decided to stick with our decision!

After less than 30 minutes, received a call promptly from a lady whom I assume is the owner, and she informed us that a table was available. Dear drove back to Riders Cafe and the nice lady seated us near the balcony, facing the hill and horse stables.

Really liked how staffs are attentive to our needs and food served is rather fast, considering the fact that the cafe was full-house that day!

Ordered cranberry juice :)

Love how cosy the whole cafe is :)

Dear!~

Hahahhaa, hiding his moustachey~

Well, he said the food here is priced quite reasonably, and the view was quite good too..

 Inside the cafe

We waited for about 15 minutes for the drinks to be served? Especially the Cafe Mocha that Dear ordered.

The Latte art is about the same as Blackbird's..

While waiting for our food~

Finally, the food arrived!

Riders Burger with Rocket, Brie, Relish, Bacon & Seasoned Fries ($17)
Dear said that their burger was SUPER DELICIOUS! Especially their beef patty, which was juicy and tasted super good!

I ordered Blackstone Benedict with Bacon & Tomatoes, Poached Eggs & Hollandaise on rustic Sourdough ($15)

Loved the bacon & tomato, but the egg yolk was rather solid. Was supposed to be runny, but it wasn't runny at all. When I cut it opened, it was no different from the yolk of a hard boiled egg. Dear told me to request for a change but I just told him it's okay.. But the combination of tomato, bacon and the egg was superb!

Everything totaled up to about $40+~
Not sure if my boyfriend ever wants to come here anymore.. But I guess I would? For the view, and maybe try out their dinner and prolly have some high tea session 'cos I so wanna try out their Death by Chocolate Cake!

Walked around the nearby stables and the horses were just so...... huge.

Some snapshots~

Anyway, Riders Cafe is just right behind us :)
Looks so tiny from afar but the cafe is quite big!

Love Dear lots for pampering and showering me with so much love that makes me feel like the most loved girl in the whole world. LOVE YOUUUUUUU!

After brunch, we went to meet his mum at Bugis, went to Westmall for dinner, and headed back home!
